The heart of SAF is in the field and no one is closer to what's happening in the field than our local units. State Societies, Divisions, and Chapters are in every corner of North America — networking, learning, and influencing.  

The Southwestern Section is the combined state societies of Arizona, New Mexico and our student chapters in these states.  This alliance was formalized in 2020 and our collective web presence was launched in 2021.

We hold quarterly section meetings on relevant topics and current issues.  We often invite the participation of the general public for our virtual meetings in our ongoing efforts to promote our work and our profession.

When Covid restrictions are lifted, we will be able to consider a return to in-person meetings with a potential virtual component.
