The New Mexico Chapter of the Society of American Foresters represents forestry professionals, students, and land stewards across the state. From high mountain forests in the north to desert woodlands in the south, New Mexico’s diverse landscapes provide both unique challenges and opportunities for sustainable forest management.

Our chapter is dedicated to fostering professional growth, advancing science-based forestry practices, and connecting members through meetings, workshops, and field tours. By working together, we support the responsible stewardship of New Mexico’s forests and the communities, wildlife, and watersheds that depend on them.
