Peggy De’Scoville has lived in Taos, NM for 25 years. She holds an BA in Forestry and an MS in Natural Resources Management, Environmental Science, both from NMHU. During her time at NMHU she served as secretary and president of the NMHU SAF Forestry Club. She currently works as a Project Forester for the NM Forestry Division, Cimarron District, Taos Satellite Office. She maintains ties at both NMHU and UNM-Taos and would love to grow and support our student base.

Abigail holds a BS and MS degree in forestry with a focus in restoration ecology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Her Master’s project conducted research on community-scale understanding of biological invasion risks and management options in the Tucson, AZ wildland urban interface. Abigail started her career at the New Mexico Forestry Division as the Timber Management Officer in the Socorro District serving private landowners within the seven southwestern counties of the state. She then worked for the Department of Forestry and Fire Management as District Forester serving the southern seven counties of Arizona. Abigail has traveled back to New Mexico, where she calls home, where she stood up the Community Wildfire Defense Grant Program ($56 million for statewide project work) and assisted with building the Wildfire Prepared Program. Abigail has a strong background in working with private landowners and stakeholders throughout the southwest on complex forestry projects. Now, Abigail is working with private landowners impacted by wildfire throughout the Southern Rockies region with American Forests as their Senior Manager of Reforestation.
